texturized vegetable protein (tvp): 500 6
oil, cooking/salad: 1/4 29

Steps
1. Put vegetables oil in a large sauce pan. Add ground beef and cook for 5 minutes.
2. Add the remaining ingredients, cover tightly and simmer for 1 hour.
3. Add the rehydrated TVP and simmer for another 10 mn.

Comments
TVP as Texturized Vegetable Protein is soybean processed as fiber or chunk and is used as a food ingredient. Rehydration procedure: 1) Soak one part TVP to 3 parts water for at least 1 hour. Drain. 2) Boil 3 parts water, then add 1 part TVP. Simmer for 3 mn or until completely hydrated. Drain.
