Steps
1. Sort and soak cowpeas overnight.
2. Boil until tender.
3. Add salt, pepper, butter, and stewing beef.
4. Mix cooked cowpeas and rice, tomatoes, onions, and green pepper and sugar to taste
5. Turn into buttered casserole baking-dish and dot top with butter.
6. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs to form crust.
7. Bake until golden brown.
