Ingredients

soya, beans: 1 cup
water: 3 cups

Steps

1. Soak soybeans overnight, then rinse well. Drain.
2. Cook in boiling water for 30 minutes, then drain water.
3. Grind beans finely with a meat grinder or a mortar and pestle.
4. Mix with cooking water then strain mixture through a cheese cloth.
5. Squeeze out the milk and boil for another 15 minutes.


Comments
Soymilk is rich in protein yet does not contain cholesterol. It does not have lactose, thus it is ideal for people who are allergic to lactose in cow's milk. It is a low-cost nutritious drink and can be used as ingredient in various milk-based recipes.
