Soymilk (sweet)

Ingredients

soya, beans: 1 kg
water: 10 l
sugar: 3 1/4 cups
vanilla: 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

1. Soak soybeans in water overnight, the rinse well.
2. Grind, pour cooking water a little at a time.
3. Strain the mixture through a cheese cloth. Squeeze out the milk then boil for 10 minutes.
4. Add 3 1/4 cups sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla while mixing. Cool and refrigerate.

Soymilk is a liquid extract of soybean. It is rich in protein yet does not contain cholesterol. It does not have lactose, thus, it is ideal for people who are allergic to lactose in cow's milk. It is a low-cost nutritious drink and can also be used as an ingredient in various milk-based recipes.
