03/03/2020

A two-day meeting took place in Rubavu, Rwanda, from 25 to 26 February 2020 gathered representatives of the Rwanda Water Resources Board (RWB), the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) and FAO.

The objectives were to review the project plan, update on the progress and define the next steps.

During the meeting, the members of the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) visited a field in the Yanze catchment in Rulindo district to assess the challenges local farmers have to face with regard to water use and the level of irrigation infrastructure in the area.

This meeting created a common understanding on the updated project work plan and helped refining it as well as defining follow-up recommendations.
