Visit of the New National Coordinator of the KnoWat project in Senegal with the President of the Steering Committee
After taking up his post, Mr Lamine SAMAKE, the new National Coordinator of the project "Knowing water better: Towards fairer and more sustainable access to natural resources (KnoWat)", paid a courtesy visit to the President of the project's steering committee (COPIL), Mr Younoussa Mballo, who is also Technical Advisor to the Senegalese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Equipment (MAER) on Tuesday 02 February 2021.
The new coordinator discussed with the President of COPIL about the implementation of the project in Senegal, particularly through memoranda of understanding with partners such as SAED, DGPRE and CNCR. The meeting also focused on the ongoing work of the national consultants and on the next meeting of the steering committee which will be organized in the coming weeks to review the progress of the project in Senegal.
The President of COPIL, Mr. Mballo welcomed this visit and reassured his total commitment to accompany the new National Coordinator in the exercise of his mission. An appointment was made between the two men to continue the exchanges on the project and especially for the organization of the next steering committee meeting.
