SDG 16, more specifically, aims to promote peace and inclusiveness as fundamental pillars. The commitments to reduce suffering and deliver better support for people caught in humanitarian crises have been underscored in other global fora including the first World Humanitarian Summit in 2016, which also highlighted the need to improve cohesion among agencies and efforts addressing humanitarian issues, development and peace.
