Zewdu Dechasa joins MAFAP as Ethiopia focal point

Zewdu is an Economist with more than 12 years’ professional experience gained at Oxford Policy Management, Ethiopian Policy Studies Institute (previously EDRI) and National Bank of Ethiopia.

His career has focused on macroeconomic analysis, climate finance, public financial management, and programme evaluation.

Zewdu holds two master’s degrees: one from Addis Ababa University and the other from the University of Tsukuba, Japan.

He joined the Monitoring and Analysing Food and Agricultural Policies (MAFAP) programme in mid February as Policy Analyst and Focal Point Ethiopia to lead the programme’s policy monitoring and policy reform engagement. He is based in Addis Ababa.
