World Water Week in Stockholm is the annual focal point for the globe’s water issues. It is organized by SIWI. In 2017, World Water Week will address the theme “water and waste – reduce and reuse”. In 2016, over 3,200 individuals and around 330 convening organizations from 130 countries participated in the Week.

FAO and SIWI will collaborate on three side events:

• Irrigating forests with wastewater - natural and effective water treatment?
• Ecosystems, Water and Human Health: the multiple dimensions of natural infrastructure solutions
• FAO/IUCN Forest-Water Champions Side Meeting
