Online Seminar on WaPOR Introduced to Master's Students in Palestine

On 22 February 2025, as part of efforts to promote and disseminate WaPOR in Palestine, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA), and Al-Quds University organized a short online seminar on WaPOR.

The two-and-a-half-hour session, held at 11:00 AM, targeted 13 master's students specializing in water resources management, primarily related to agriculture, including seven women.

The seminar opened with remarks from Dr. Amer, the students' supervisor, followed by an overview of the WaPOR2 project presented by the national project coordinator. Ali Ramadan, a member of the WaPOR national team, then introduced remote sensing applications and guided participants through the WaPOR portal, covering data access, processing, and downloading. The event concluded with a Q&A session and interactive discussions.
