FAO, in collaboration with the NGO Solidaridad, has developed a training programme tailored to the needs of rural women. The programme aims to strengthen rural women's capacities to voice their challenges and participate in policy dialogue related to responsible investment in agriculture. This video explains the objectives and impact of the programme, featuring the testimonies of participants in a training of trainers that took place in Freetown in May 2023.

Efficient screening of investments and investors allows to identify risks before they occur, hardship or financial losses been incurred, or the environment damaged, resulting in significant cost savings for governments, investors and communities. With support from FAO, the Government of Liberia has developed an investment screening tool to ensure a triple performance of agricultural investments for people, planet and profits.

Le taux de chômage des jeunes en Tunisie est élevé. La région de Béja est parmi les plus touchées par le chômage des jeunes. Les jeunes hommes et femmes ont tendance à abandonner les zones rurales à la recherche d'opportunités en ville ou à l'étranger. Cette vidéo présente les histoires d´Ines Messaoudi and Mohamed Ali Gaidi, qui ont décidé de revenir et de faire une différence. Ils ont participé au Pôle Agri-accélérateur. Le Pôle a formé plus d'une centaine jeunes agri-entrepreneurs entre 18 et 40 ans dans la conception des investissements responsables dans l’agriculture et les systèmes alimentaires. Ce projet a été financé par l´Instrument de contribution volontaire flexible (FVC) de la FAO. Dans plus de 80 pays, cette initiative de la FAO autonomise les communautés rurales, améliore leurs moyens de subsistance et leur sécurité alimentaire et promeut des systèmes agroalimentaires inclusifs.

Knowledge exchange between agricultural investment practitioners helps upscale good practices on responsible investment. FAO promotes dialogue among state and non-state actors from north and west African countries to share ideas and experiences related to responsible investment in agrifood systems (RAI). This video features takeaways from knowledge exchange sessions with stakeholders from Liberia, Mauritania, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Tunisia. Stakeholders include Government institutions, academia, non-governmental organizations, young agri-entrepreneurs and agribusinesses.
