FAO leads international work on sustainable bioeconomy through the International Sustainable Bioeconomy Working Group (ISBWG).

FAO participates in global discussions on sustainable bioeconomy as a member of the:

• International Advisory Council on Global Bioeconomy (IACGB)
• Standing Committee on Agricultural Research (SCAR) Bioeconomy Strategic Working Group and SCAR Food Systems Strategic Working Group
• EU-led International Bioeconomy Forum (IBF)

• FAO’s South-South and Triangular Cooperation Unit
• United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC)
