The workshop gathered 32 participants from IFAD, FAO, IWMI and national focal points from the six countries involved in the project. The objective of this workshop was to share the project’s goal and work plan with the country teams and to agree on the needs assessment methodology. Indeed the primary activity of the project was to conduct a needs assessment in the six countries to identify priorities related to agricultural water management investments for poverty reduction. The workshop was also an opportunity to share knowledge and experience in agricultural water management in the different countries.
