Criterios - Debe ser un científico reconocido en el campo de la nutrición (o un campo afín) que haya destinado una gran parte de su carrera al tema de la composición de los alimentos.
- Debe haber alcanzado logros importantes relativos a la composición de alimentos en el plano mundial.
- Debe haber contribuido notablemente a la composición de los alimentos y cuestiones conexas en los países en desarrollo.

2011 - Heather Greenfield, por ser una de las coautoras del libro de Greenfield y Southgate (la publicación de referencia en la composición de alimentos), por la larga campaña realizada en pro de unos datos de composición de alimentos de gran calidad, por el trabajo realizado en países en desarrollo (como Papua Nueva Guinea, Indonesia y China) y por haber organizado la primera Conferencia Internacional sobre Datos de Alimentos en Sidney (Australia) en 1993

2015 - Ruth Charrondiere for her global achievements in capacity development, developing new food composition guidelines and databases and strengthening the INFOODS network
2019 - Hettie Schönfeldt for the achievements in bringing food composition forward in Africa, especially when serving as ECSAFOODS (1999-2001) or AFROFOODS (2001-2010) coordinator. She organized six training courses, included food composition in her work as professor at the University of Pretoria or in her national or international advisory work.

2019 - Paul Hulshof for running the International Postgraduate Course on the Production and Use of Food Composition Data in Nutrition in Wageningen, the Netherlands, since 2005 which started in 1994. He has also contributed to capacity development though his teaching and chemical analysis work at the Wageningen University and EuroFIR.
The INFOODS Success Story award recognizes significant achievements of individuals or groups in the implementation of food composition activities such as: - Significant analytical programs
- Significant advocacy
- New food composition tables or databases, tools or guidelines
- Capacity building and education.
In 2015, on an exceptional basis all submitted success stories received an award due to difficulties to designate one success story per regional data centre. Therefore, the following projects and individuals received the award for their food composition activities: |
