ICIMOD to announce 'ICT for Mountain Development Award' on IMD

A Georgian art exhibit in celebration of IMD

Utah Valley University (UVU) and the Utah Art Museum hosted "Building Bridges: Exploring Georgian Art and Politics" on 15 September as their contribution to the 2016 theme of International Mountain Day, “Mountain Culture: celebrating diversity and strengthening identity”. The museum houses the largest public collection of twentieth-century Russian and Soviet art in the western United States. Mountain Festival in Canada

12 September 2016The Canadian Mountain Network will host the first Mountain Festival on 9-15 December 2016 at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada in celebration of International Mountain Day. The Canadian Mountain Network is a recently formed group composed of scientists, researchers, businesses and community and indigenous partners working together for the sustainability of mountain spaces and those communities who inhabit them.

MiratecArts hosts mountain photo contest

The Development Communications Network (DEVCOM-Pakistan) with the support of its partners is organizing its flagship event, the sixth Pakistan Mountain Festival. Montanha Pico Festival

Reading Mountains Festival

The 2016 Reading Mountains Festival will take place on 5-11 December. It is an occasion for partners of the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention to organize events around the Alps celebrating Alpine literature, languages and cultures in light of International Mountain Day on 11 December.
