Forest of Hope Campaign in Celebration of International Mountain Day - Peru

The Global Hope Supporters in Lima and Cusco, Peru, celebrated International Mountain Day 2025 by planting 355 trees from November 16 to 23. Together with the Comas and Ate Vitarte District Offices of Lima, and the Santiago District Office of Cusco, the volunteers helped enrich the soil by planting trees across the region.
Approximately 240 supporters and local residents planted 25 trees at the Collique Zone 3 Main Plaza, 80 trees along Santa Clara Andrés Avelino Cáceres Avenue, and 250 trees in the Lacramayo Valley, contributing to the cultivation of green spaces and the protection of mountain ecosystems.
This event is part of the Forest of Hope campaign, carried out by the Church of God’s Global Hope Supporters with the caring heart of a mother to protect the environment of our global community.
The Forest of Hope campaign aims to restore forest ecosystems—sources of hope for humanity—and create a sustainable global environment. Through activities such as collecting forest waste, planting trees, removing invasive species, and clearing fire-hazard materials, volunteers help restore and strengthen forest ecosystems. The campaign also raises awareness of the need to protect green spaces through a joint generational declaration and an exhibition of panels on desertification prevention and wildfire awareness.
The campaign is being carried out from November through January in countries around the world, including Korea, India, the Philippiness, and Peru, in alignment with the purpose of International Mountain Day—recognizing the vital role mountains play in our lives and promoting positive change for mountain environments worldwide.
