Online Talks: International Mountain Day – Mountain Sports and Sustainable Tourism: ethics, aesthetics and good practices
This lecture, held as part of the Mountain Talks, and in addition to the celebration of International Mountain Day, addresses the sustainability on mountain sports and tourism. More precisely, some of the environmental impacts considered to be the most significant, resulting from mountain activities in general, and the mitigation measures to be implemented by mountaineers and/or tourists. The topic in question is fundamental for training and updating the knowledge of people who practice mountain activities in general, and coaches in particular, with a view to the proper management and mitigation of environmental impacts.
Specific Objectives: To raise awareness of some of the environmental impacts resulting from mountain sports and tourism; To know and to be able to apply some measures to mitigate the environmental impacts of mountain tourism.
