Date change announced for Fifth Meeting of the PSMA Parties
©FAO/Matthew CamilleriThe Secretariat to the FAO Agreement on Port State Measures (PSMA) has announced that, following a request by the Government of Ecuador, which is hosting the next Meeting of the Parties, the dates for the fifth Meeting of the Parties (MOP5) have been changed to 21–25 April 2025.
The PSMA Secretariat has informed all Parties of this important development, following a consultation with the Meeting of the Parties Vice-Chairpersons in November who reported no objections to the change in date following their own consultations.
The fifth Meeting of the Parties will still be held in Manta, Ecuador, as announced previously.
The PSMA Secretariat also announced the nomination of the new Chairperson of MOP5 – Ms Ivanova Cereceda, Vice Minister of Aquaculture and Fisheries (Ecuador) and congratulated her on her appointment.
