DLGP has also supported the establishment and equipping of land registries and offices with infrastructure and equipment, including customized registry containers, fireproof cabinets, movable shelves, computers, scanners, plotters, furniture and other essential facilities needed to move from intensive hard-paper processes to digital land services. These investments complement the MoLPWUDs’ digitisation efforts through the National Land Information Management System (NLIMS), helping registries improve records management and service delivery.

The equipment include laptops, printers and 240 tables that will be used by the project county focal points, the monitoring and evaluation leads and the Farmer Field Schools Facilitators for access to the Climate Information Management System, agricultural production data and databases as well as documentation and coordination of the project implementation.

Kenya and Tanzania share interconnected livestock production systems, markets and pastoral communities whose livelihoods depend heavily on livestock. Cross-border mobility enables herders to access pasture and water resources, improve breeding opportunities and engage in livestock trade. However, without coordinated management, animal movements can also increase the risk of spreading transboundary animal diseases and zoonotic infections.

Young Climate Champions: How 4K Clubs are promoting nutrition-sensitive Climate-Smart agriculture in Kajiado and Embu Counties

At Naserian Primary School in Kajiado County, agriculture has become more than just a classroom subject. Through the school's 4K Club, learners are demonstrating how climate-smart farming can improve nutrition, support school meals, and provide practical skills for the future. Supported through a project funded by the Government of Sweden and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the club has transformed part of the school compound into a thriving school garden. Here, pupils cultivate vegetables and fruits using innovative technologies adapted to dryland conditions.
