As a member of the Integrated Monitoring Initiative for SDG6, coordinated by UN-Water (IMI-SDG6), and custodian agency for SDG indicator 6.4.1 (change in water-use efficiency) and 6.4.2 (level of water stress), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) monitors the achievement of SDG6 target 6.4. With this purpose, FAO has gathered experiences and resources aimed at ensuring a coherent monitoring framework by 2030. This framework is helping countries achieve progress through well-informed decision-making on water, based on harmonized, comprehensive, timely and accurate information.

The latest results and acceleration needs and recommendations on the global process of monitoring SDG6 indicators, in which member states and custodian agencies have participated during the past months, will be presented in an event held by the Stockholm World Water Week at 17:00 CEST on the 23rd of August (EN, FR, SP), that will be replicated at 07:30 CEST on the 25th (EN, AR, RU) to cover a larger global audience.

You are invited to join the event and stay tuned to the official launch of the progress reports during the World Water Week. You can register for free here to the SWWW.
