Yearly data released in the new dissemination system of AQUASTAT

AQUASTAT, FAO's Global Information System on Water and Agriculture, just released a new dissemination system that provides free access to over 180 variables and indicators by country and by year since 1960. The new dissemination system allows publishing the data collected every year through the questionnaire sent to the AQUASTAT national correspondents, replacing the 5 year-period data of the previous dissemination system. It also allows the user to download a larger amount of data (up to 100 000 data points) compared to the previous system.

AQUASTAT contributes to the global monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all, through the collection of data and estimation of the indicators SDG 6.4.1 - change in water use efficiency over time and SDG 6.4.2 - level of water stress.
