During the Committee on World Food Security, the side event Strengthening legal frameworks for food security and nutrition: "The role of parliamentarians and their alliances" will take place on 12 October at 13:30 (CET). Register now:

The goals of the side event are:

  • Sharing parliamentarians' experience on leveraging their law-making, budget allocation and oversight mandates for Food Security and Nutrition (FSN) with parliamentarians from other countries/regions and with other CFS stakeholders.
  • Engaging parliamentarians and strengthen their political will to take legislative action for FSN.
  • Strengthening the role and capacity of parliamentarians in adopting effective legislation and multi-stakeholder collaboration for FSN.
