LEGN has developed a Methodology for the assessment of national legislation in AMR-relevant areas in the food and agriculture sector. Between 2019 and 2020, LEGN supported 20 countries to analyse their legislation against this Methodology, and has contributed to consequent legal reform processes in eight of these countries. LEGN is now working with the OIE and the WHO in the development of a One Health Legal Assessment tool on AMR-relevant legislation that will take into consideration human health, food and agriculture.
