How the FAO Library is translating SDGs into tangible knowledge

The FAO Library presented the poster "How the FAO library is translating the SDGs into tangible knowledge" at the 85th IFLA World Library and Information Congress in Greece last August.
The central theme: the Library's monthly e-bulletin which focusses on specific UN and FAO events related to one of the 17 SDGs.
The bulletin not only proved to be a way to get concrete literature on specific topics to FAO staff in headquarters and the field, but also a way to align the Library collection and workflow to the SDGs.

Abstract
The FAO Library has implemented a monthly e-Bulletin on specific UN and FAO events related to the SDGs. Following the Organization's goal to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the library is translating SGDs into tangible knowledge for staff in HQ and the field, broadening the dissemination of FAO output worldwide with open access to developing countries, and providing direct full text access to the most up to date literature, extended bibliographies and historical documents on topics related to the SDGs.
