NotesAs part of efforts to develop a strategy for promoting protein-rich crops including soybeans (see MPPU Mar.’18), the European Commission has published a report that reviews the supply and demand situation for plant proteins in the EU and explores ways to increase production in an economically and environmentally sustainable manner. The report includes an analysis of existing and new policy instruments to help realize the potential of protein crops in the union.
