DescriptionRegulated the use of herbicide \'dicamba\'.
NotesFollowing reports of significant crop damage from herbicide drift in the United States farm belt and Southeast (see MPPU Oct.17), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has reached an agreement with the manufacturers of herbicide dicamba on measures to protect neighbouring crops from the chemicals use on GM soybean and cotton fields. Dicamba producers agreed to label changes that impose additional requirements for users of the herbicide. EPA will monitor the success of these changes before deciding whether to allow the herbicides use beyond the 2018 growing season.
