NotesReportedly, the Federal Government approved spending of PKR 290 billion (USD 1.9 billion) over the next five years for the development of the agricultural sector, including the promotion of oilseed cultivation. Meanwhile, the Provincial Government of the Punjab decided to extend its oilcrop promotion programme, which comprises producer subsidies of PKR 5 000 per acre (USD 81 per ha) for cultivating up to 10 acres of rapeseed or sunflowerseed.
