NotesReportedly, the government has allocated Pesos 1.38 billion (USD 30.9 million) to the country’s Coconut Authority, to enhance the latter’s activities in support of coconut production. The additional funding will be used for, among others, planting and replanting incentives to coconut farmers, distribution of organic fertilizers, capacity-building activities related to intercropping, and pest control programmes.
