DescriptionAnnounced that it would purchase 600 000 tonnes of parboiled rice from the 2018 Aman harvest, between 1 December 2018 and 28 February 2019. Procurement prices under the drive were set at BDT 36 per kg (USD 422 per tonne), 10 percent less than prices offered for Aman rice the previous season. A successive decision raised the Aman procurement target to 800 000 tonnes, and extended the duration of the drive to 7 March 2019.
