AlpWeek 2024

The 8th edition of AlpWeek, themed "Alps in our hands", will take from 23 to 25 September 2024 in Nova Gorica, Slovenia.

Twenty years have elapsed since the inaugural AlpWeek in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, in 2004. In that time, numerous successes, initiatives and policies have played pivotal roles in the sustainable development of the Alpine region. The organizers of AlpWeek invite you to be part of this transformative journey to explore avenues for cooperation, ignite innovative project ideas and draw inspiration to collectively shape the future of the Alps.

The programme will spotlight the convergence of three key themes central to the Alpine Conference's Multi-Annual Work Programme 2023-2030: biodiversity and ecosystems, climate change, and quality of life. Participants can expect a dynamic agenda featuring thought-provoking lectures, interactive workshops, engaging panel discussions, cultural events, enriching excursions and a collaborative co-working space. Whether you joined the AlpWeek two decades ago or are a newcomer, whether your background is in non-profit organizations, research, public service, politics or if you call the Alps your home, you are wholeheartedly invited to participate in the AlpWeek 2024.
