Asociación para el estudio de la montaña CRYOSANABRIA

The "Asociación para el estudio de las montañas CRYOSANABRIA" aims to expand the knowledge and conservation status of the mountain's cryosphere of the Sanabria region as well as the cryosphere of other mountains in the northwest of the Iberian peninsula. The associations aims also to maintain and recover the natural and cultural heritage of mountain peoples of the Iberian Northwest.

CRYOSANABRIA carries out activities aimed at adding value to the mountains' natural and cultural heritage. Our association  organizes a number of different works and activities: workshops on traditional mountain parades, photographic exhibitions (Paisajes de Sanabria, Show your look against inequality, Mountains from the feeling), projections as well as production of documentaries, improving road signs (SL, PR, GR) and traditional roads, production of posters in sanabresa language, organization of children's and elders' activities, meetings on music and literarture, printing new edition of manuals and books, training mountain and wildlife guides, organization of environmental and cultural talks and many others.
