GRID-Arendal is a non-profit Norwegian foundation established in 1989 to support the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and UN system as a whole. Our mission is to create "environmental knowledge for change", and we do this by transforming environmental data into innovative, science-based information products and providing capacity-building services. We aim to inform and motivate decision-makers to effect positive change. Our focus on mountains spans the thematic areas of climate change, biodiversity conservation, waste management and overall sustainability. |
