The Small World USA is a non-profit organization dedicated to actively working towards sustainable mountain development goals, particularly in the Himalayas. The Small World USA aims to empower local communities by enabling self-reliance and active community participation in basic infrastructure projects and support women’s empowerment programs. Additionally, the organization firmly believes that providing education to people from rural mountain regions is a fundamental element within broader efforts to achieve sustainable mountain development. Providing access to education, especially for mountain women empowers mountain peoples and enables them to be active and effective leaders within their own communities. Current projects include Girls’ Bachelor’s Education Initiative, the Solukhumbu Child Protection Program, Himalayan Hope Home and Weaving for Empowerment.
