Latin American Communications Network on Climate Change (LatinClima) is a large community and information center on the topic of climate change communication for Latin America and the Caribbean, to which journalists and communicators, as well as other professionals, organizations and networks can join. It was created in April 2015 by the Ministry of Environment and Energy of Costa Rica; the Ministry of Housing, Land Management and Environment of Uruguay; and the Tropical Agricultural Research and High Education Center (CATIE), with the seed funding of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) and, recently, the support of the Tropical Science Center (CCT) and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) through the Arauclima Program. |
