BioCarbon Registry

BioCarbon Registry (BCR) is a programme that certifies and registers projects that tackle climate change aligned with environmental and social sustainability actions under high-quality carbon and biodiversity standards. BCR provides certification and registration of greenhouse gas (GHG) projects from different sectors (such as agriculture, forestry and other land use, including energy, transportation and waste management) that demonstrate compliance with rules and the set of principles and requirements necessary for the issuance of Verified Carbon Credits (VCCs), including projects that promote conservation and the prevention of land change use in mountain ecosystems as well as the improvement of the quality of life of their inhabitants.
