Andean Alliance for Sustainable Development (AASD)

The Andean Alliance for Sustainable Development (AASD) is a non-profit organization that has been working for more than 10 years with indigenous communities in the Andes of Peru with the mission to harness collective intelligence to support community-led development. This region holds critically important lands for biocultural diversity. We envision that each Andean farmer should thrive and take pride in their role as guardians of this diversity. They are strongholds in the fight against cultural severance, climate change and loss of biodiversity in mountain environments. To achieve this vision, we focus our approach on building participatory models that leave no one behind and value people over projects and impact over quantity.
