Albertine Rift Conservation Society (ARCOS)


The Albertine Rift Conservation Society (ARCOS) is a regional NGO created in 1995. ARCOS's focus is on the Albertine Rift region, promoting regional collaborative action through information sharing, awareness raising and capacity building and policy/advocacy in the shared ecosystems.

In 2013, the Mountain Partnership elected ARCOS to the Steering Committee to represent the civil society electoral group in the Sub-Saharan Africa region for the four-year period, 2014-2017.
