Public Organization “Kuhhoi Pomir”

The Public Organization "Kuhhoi Pomir" pursues socio-civic, educational, legal, spiritual, cultural, environmental, economic and charitable purposes.

It has been actively involved in the democratic social reform of Tajikistan, in strengthening the principles of democracy, in supporting civic initiatives to maintain and enhance the spiritual and cultural values of the mountains and the identity of its population.

"Kuhhoi Pomir" has also helped in the resolution of various conflicts, in managing natural risks and disasters, in addressing economic and political issues that hindered sustainable (balanced) development of the mountainous Pamir region, and in combining local intellectual potential, material, financial resources and organizational capacity.

The academic and research work of the Public Organization Kuhhoi Pomir is coordinated and revised by the Institute of Human Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan.
