International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA)


The International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation (UIAA) encourages and develops all forms of mountaineering, climbing, hill walking and trekking at an international level. Since 1932, the UIAA supports climbing and mountaineering practices in the respect of local communities and cultures and promotes responsible access as well as sustainable mountain protection.  The UIAA has now 85 member associations with over 2.4 million individual active members.
