Turkish Geographical Society

The aims of Turkish Geographical Society are to contribute to the promotion and development of the geographical studies and other earth and human sciences in Turkey.  Turkish Geographical Society using scientific methods in their study and analyse and monitor worldwide geographic movements and progresses. In the guide of these basic aims, Turkish Geography has aimed at realizing the following studies:

To provide geographical and other related sciences to work in collaboration and cooperation together.

To make studies and researches in geographical matters such as mountains, plains and coastal areas.

To publish scientific researches and studies in the field of geography and issue a periodical in this subject.

 To organize scientific journeys and meetings in and out of Turkey (Turkish Geographical Society will organize International Geography Congress in 2020, in Istanbul-Turkey, under the umbrella of International Geographical Union).
