Since its establishment in 1975, HIT has been conducting research on a wide range of topics, such as welfare, medical care, agriculture, rural development and international exchange. This knowledge and experience is then utilized to find effective solutions for local communities in terms of policymaking, strategy development, and forming best practices – both in and outside Japan. Their goal is to address communities’ socioeconomic problems from a long-term perspective. HIT aims to be actively involved in sustainable mountain development and join forces with other MP members. |
