Earth Day Italia Onlus

Earth Day Italia Onlus is the main Italian partner of the Earth Day Network, which is based in Washington DC, US, and works with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. Nowadays more than 1 billion people participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.

Since 2007, Earth Day Italia Onlus also takes part in the celebrations of the United Nations Earth Day on April 22 involving many organizations and prominent spokespersons at a national and international level and working to promote the formation of a new and strong environmental awareness in Italy.

Present for seven years in Italy, Earth Day Italia Onlus has become an important instrument to increase awareness on environmental issues. It manages to do it by combining traditional and innovative communication tools.

Earth Day Italia Onlus promotes the formation of a modern environmental consciousness through:

• Celebrating Earth Day with a number of initiatives and events;
• Reflecting on environment and sustainability topics through meetings and engagement with stakeholders;
• Working effectively to save the planet through activities with partners;
• Gathering ideas, institutions, companies, associations, people around a common environmental awareness.
