MRD’s Call for Papers on “Central Asian Mountain Societies in Transition” – abstracts by 31 March 2011

The Mountain Research and Development (MRD) Journal in collaboration with University of Central Asia’s Mountain Societies Research Centre has launched a call for papers regarding practices and systems relevant to the economic, political and environmental changes occurring in Central Asian mountain societies. The articles could cover topics such as sustainable land management approaches and technologies in mountain areas, agro-pastoralism in mountain areas, adaptation to climatic and other environmental change in mountain areas. The deadline for submission of full papers is 30 September 2011, please submit abstracts by 31 March 2011 to guest editor Chad Dear, Coordinator, Mountain Societies Research Centre, University of Central Asia, [email protected].
