Women at the Center of Climate-friendly Approaches to Agriculture and Water – New IATP Paper

A new paper from the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP) on women’s contribution to climate-friendly approaches to agriculture and water is now online. The author Shiney Varghese examined proven agricultural practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen resilience to climate change through the case study of the Tamilnadu Women’s Collective in India. The author will also present her findings at the United Nations in New York on 22 February as part of a workshop on “Climate Adaptation Challenges from a Gender Perspective”, expected to contribute towards the fifty-fifth session of the U.N.’s Commission on the Status of Women.
