China Focus: Nature-Based Solutions To Climate Change

With the world´s largest population and second largest economy, China is the largest emitter of greenhouse gasses, but also the emerging leader in the use and development of clean energy technology. China is arguably the most important country to successfully address climate change. In the face of unparalleled economic growth China´s Mega Diverse ecosystems are increasingly vulnerable. At the same time however, the existence of such a diverse ecological base means there is great potential to implement nature-based solutions to climate change in China.
