Lino Zani was appointed Mountain Partnership Goodwill Ambassador to Italy on International Mountain Day 2017 during the Global Meeting of the Mountain Partnership at FAO in Rome, Italy.
A TV producer and author, Lino Zani was born in the mountains and has climbed some of the worlds highest peaks. Much of his life has revolved around the mountains, including being a ski instructor and mountaineer as well as consulting for the Ministry of Regional Affairs on mountain matters. In 2014-2015, Lino Zani was the presenter of "Linea Bianca", an Italian TV programme on mountains, as well as "Italy's Most Beautiful Beautiful Mountain Lodges" broadcast on Rai1.
