 Call for participation, IPCC special report06.04.2018Issue 114 – Month 4 – Year 2018 The April issue of Peak to Peak opens with a call to contribute literature on mountains for possible inclusion in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate. The newsletter continues with stories about the second International Conference on Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture in Mountain Areas, three explorers carrying with Mountain Partnership (MP) flag with them to the Arctic as they journey to document the impacts of climate change, a campaign to increase the empowerment of indigenous women through the recognition of their contributions and challenges to the achievement of Zero Hunger and the whole Sustainable Development Agenda, and a project promoting clean energy for sustainable communities in the Pamir Mountains of Tajikistan. Peak to Peak provides a sampling of MP members’ activities and events and features a mountain-related publication and video. |
