FAO launches funding mechanism for mountains

The May issue of Peak to Peak opens with a story about the launch of a Mountain Facility, or funding mechanism, to address the rising threat of hunger in the mountain areas of developing countries. The newsletter also reports Nepal’s critical transition since the 2015 earthquakes, projects to help mountain farmers in East Africa, the formation of a new energy group, an upcoming convention in Portugal that will focus on climate change and more. Peak to Peak highlights the activities of Mountain Partnership members’ activities around the world, as well as events and publications.
