Agreement for the creation of the Network for Research on Mountain Environments of Latin America and the Caribbean

Researchers and other professionals from Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, and Argentina
participating in the Mountains 2018 International Conference held in Nova Friburgo, agreed,
supporting the Charter of Nova Friburgo, to establish the Network for Research on Mountain
Environments of Latin America and the Caribbean. This network will be linked to the Mountain
Partnership, which has offered to provide support at different levels, including communication,

engaging with other organizations, and fund-raising.
