Civil Society Consultations

The Civil Society Consultations provide a platform for dialogue led by and for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across the region. They aim to strengthen partnerships with CSOs and ensure that their perspectives inform FAO’s policies and programme. Held ahead of the FAO Regional Conferences, they form an integral part of the Conference process.
The CSO Consultation will bring together civil society organizations from across the Near East region to discuss pathways for transforming agrifood systems for better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life for all.
Led by the Misr el Kheir Foundation, the event will take place in a hybrid format in Cairo, from 15 to 16 April, from 9:30 to 15:00 (Cairo time).
Participants will examine priority areas and formulate recommendations aligned with the Regional Conference agenda, with particular emphasis on accelerating resilient and sustainable agrifood systems within the regional context.
